Landscape with Moon, Yoshio Kanamori
The Wolf Moon or the Stay-at-Home Moon, January’s full moon, will fall at 5.54 on the 25th January.
We have had some good sky watching weather in the last couple of weeks and you may have noticed a couple of the bright planets wandering through the sky. Saturn has been around but is dimming and will be too close to the sun to see for much of the rest of the year. Venus has been beautiful in the mornings but it too is vanishing soon, and will be gone by mid-February. We will not see it again then until November, when it reappears as an evening star. Jupiter has been really blazing in the sky and will be keeping us company for a few more months yet before it too vanishes behind the sun, though only until July.
Wishing you clear skies!
This is a powerful full moon in the calendar isn’t it, just days away from Imbolc, it feels as if there is a stirring coming ❤️
It’s absolutely stunning out there isn’t it.
