It is publication day for The Almanac 2024!

This is the 7th edition of my almanac, the book that arguably kicked off a revival in the almanac form. I’m really not a big-headed person, but I did this! My publisher says I should say it more often…

There have been many, many imitators and there will no doubt be many more (off the top of my head, NINE versions that I know of since I first published, with two more high profile ones publishing this year). It is sometimes disheartening, but so far none has ever beaten mine. And I think I know why. I pour my heart into these books, dream up new ideas for them all year long, and pack them full of everything I can possibly think of that you might want to know about the year ahead. It is a labour of love for me, and I just think that readers sense and respond to that.

(Incidentally, I feel very lucky to have found such a strong community of readers to help me weather these storms, and I consider this wonderful Substack community to be the heart of that, thank you! x)
