Week 10
Bulbs
Hello! Well…what a week. There was blossom and daffodils and sunshine and a big full moon. Even the magnolias have started coming out. This morning I stepped out into my back garden and was met by a wall of birdsong. It is really happening. Suddenly my phone is TOO full of ideas for this weekly post, where I can now admit it’s been a teeny bit of a stretch recently. There is an abundance of seasonal things I could show you.
This is our weekly community post in which we ask the question: what has been seasonal about this week just past - I tell you mine and then you tell me yours in the comments. At the end of the month I make them all into a big monthly poem, like February’s, here.
If you too have pics you would like to share too then I’m afraid you can’t do it here…but you CAN do it in our Sunday morning chat in the chat part of the app, so get yourself onto that if you aren’t already.
Without further ado, here’s mine:
Bulbs
I bought lots of packets of a very pretty looking bulb mix in the autumn, and planted a lot of them in my front garden. I’ve been trying to judge the best time to show you, because of course lots of them are popping up at different times, but it is starting to look very cute now, with crocuses and these gorgeous little mini daffodils popping up around a new hellebore. It is all a little scrappy because it needs some ground cover in between and because I have recently planted my snowdrops-in-the-green here too, but it is hugely cheering whenever I walk up the path and I’m excited to see if these bulk up for subsequent years.
That’s it from me, now over to you. What have you spotted or done or eaten etc…this week that felt particularly seasonal?

The curlews are back!! That makes me SO happy. I saw, and heard, three of them flying over my garden. They usually return around the time of my birthday, like a wonderful present.
Helping my friend with lambing on her farm. To be honest, I find the whole experience so moving and joyous that I spend more time in tears (which isn't particularly helpful) rather than actually doing anything useful. But I make a scrumptious pot of tea and encourage and support the mum ewes through my tears. It's so magical.
