Back to using the indoor drying rack, but the gardens are grateful for the rain. Short walks between showers to appreciate a glorious profusion of irises, beautifully paired with lupins, fallen tree blossom underfoot
Love the bench, how thoughtful, really hope it is respected.
This week has been sun, downpours, tiny conkers growing in place of blossom, June drop from the apple trees and scatters of rose and peony petals dusting the patio.
Barefoot on the lawn in the rain and then later gently dipping a glass jar into my mini pond to show my little grandchildren how the tadpoles are developing ….to whoops of delight!
I’ve been chasing off a magpie trying to get to the blackbird nest, we’ll see if it comes back. And relentless rain this week, certainly different to last week.
The swifts arrived and the garden is a hive of activity with a flock of sparrows chatting away and baby blue tits being taught our garden is a safe space.
A lovely week in a tiny French house has helped with a reset. Lots of swallows swooping by. Looking forward to seeing what the rain has done to the garden and allotment.

Learning about the different types of twilight in the June chapter of The Almanac. Back to dreich after the glorious sunshine. Moorhen chick's ❤️
The commute to your new office looks lovely. Fingers crossed for the picnic bench.

Making hay while the sun shines. First cutting is off the field and in the barn.
I saw swallows swooping over the edge of a field at the beginning of the week and by mid week tufts of lambs wool hanging damp from brambles
Lush green with blossoms everywhere! Some light rain then right back to sun and blue skies. Enjoyed the full moon thoroughly
It's flaming June and my heating has just come on!
Fox cubs running rings around their parents.
