The 1st of the month is always made that little bit more special by the release of your podcast and it's always one of the first things I will that morning whether it be listening whilst I have breakfast before I head to work or if on a weekend on my way down to the allotment. I think you have it pretty nailed down content wise, I particularly enjoy the herbarium section and the recipe ideas always get me excited to try them although I love the podcast as a whole and can't think of anything I would change. I love the found sounds in the middle of the month as it eases the pain of waiting for the next episode. However I think you have the balance spot on and anticipation of the next episode is a good thing. My only suggestion would be an occasional special extra episode to mark special events like the solstices and equinox or that explore seasonal festivals and gives some depth and detail on them. I hope this has helped and I'm so pleased that the next year of this wonderful podcast is being planned. Thank you and best wishes to all those involved that keep making this wonderful podcast

As the Season Turns is my favorite podcast and I replay it more than once. Lia's gentle soothing voice is just perfect as is the haunting sound of The Breathe. Thank you so much for the introduction to these wonderful musicians. There is nothing I would remove including the time of the tides and I don't even live in the UK. The mid-month podcast has been a delight. Thank you, thank you.

I too pretty much love the content and length of both the main podcast as well as ‘found sound’, if anything I would love the found sounds to be a little longer, but do agree with others, that some additional folklore might be nice per month, otherwise I very much enjoy and appreciate that this podcast even exists and nd really like the production and overall content! Thank you Lia, Alice, Zoe and Ffern!!

I enjoy the longer podcast as well as the Found Sounds. It's calming and affirming peaceful listening. I usually listen in my studio where I sew, draw and write... the things I do most days when I'm not in The garden. Although I'm in North West France, I still enjoy the UK things because I'm originally from Wales and it feels comfortable to know when the tides are high etc. Actually, I can calculate from there to here. AsIt's great to have the seasonal link, Solstices and Equinoxes - all those things. They remind of time and seasons passing and not to waste my time worrying over things that I cannot influence or change - that there is a space that's calm and grounding and there are others there who want to share that. I enjoy anything about plants and nature. Again, even though I'm not in the UK , I buy The Almanac because it's useful and reassuring.

I also enjoy the music and get a great deal of pleasure in hearing the different musicians - it's a nice variety from season to season.

THank you for all the effort you put into it. :-)

Also my favourite podcast EVER and I love the ritual of my candlelit bath on the first of the month to welcome the season/month. The fact that this is monthly allows me to look forward, wait patiently and savour the episode. I wouldn't remove a thing. The bi monthly found sound is a great mid month taster and I like that it's different to the main show. I particularly love the folk lore and would welcome what to look for in terms of migratory birds and wildlife . Thank you for such a great pod cast. I also have the Almanac each Christmas too x

I look forward to As The Season Turns podcast at the start of every month. I always take the time to sit down and listen with a nice cup of tea. I love all the narrators and subjects covered. I learn so much and love the different musicians music. I especially loved the Welsh singer and still listen to his music. I like that after the year is over that the musicians songs from the yearly podcast are compiled into an album available on Spotify. I do listen to Found Sounds and really enjoy it. I have learned a lot in the longer segments. I would not want the current As The Season Turns to be shorter. It would nice if seasonal festivals were highlighted with the occasional extra broadcasts but other than that I find As The Season Turns and Found Sounds perfect. I live in the USA.

I enjoy listening to the podcast and have a copy of your almanac too. The podcast is very soothing and contains wonderful information about mother nature and the Moon cycles, stars, plants. It's very grounding in a world full of bad news and climate worries. I have one big grievance though which is the use of meat and dairy in the recipes you share. I feel that a move to only plant based recipes would be much more in keeping with the ethics of your podcast. The planet and wildlife are suffering and this simple change would help them enormously. Thank you Carolyn

I always try to listen at the start of the month when I can have some quiet time on my own. I’ve been particularly enjoying the music this year, and I liked the idea that someone suggested on here that you could include a little “to do list” for the month! Thank you for a lovely podcast ❤️

I look forward to As the Season Turns every month, and I've been working my way through the back catalogue as I seek more inspiration for living seasonally. I am particularly drawn to the herbal lore and the Herbarium contribution, and I miss the little rituals or meditations that used to be part of the podcast. But it's always evolving, I always learn something, and feel more grounded in the seasons after listening. Thanks!

I love that As the Season Turns makes me pause and soak up 30 minutes of much needed tranquility in what is a pretty hectic existence. It helps me connect to the month and reconnects me with my past. It takes me back to throng by the side of my grandfather who loved to grow food for the table, and who would wake me and my siblings in the small hours to go mushrooming in a nearby field. To my grandmothers who both were wonderful bakers and who could make something delicious from whatever was brought in from the plot or from what they would forage in the hedgerows. I love too that it encourages me to teach my daughter folklore, some of which I knew but had forgotten and some of which that is new to me.

The feedback is just keep going and don't stop. As the season turns is a highlight I can't wait for a new month to start to listen to it. I especially love hearing musicians with a local influence to an area or in different dialects so nice.

I really do love the folklore tales, the almanac bit that fits in with your book that I also have a copy of and I do enjoy the found sounds too. Just great. Can't think how to make it better.

My absolute favourite podcast. I look forward to listening to it at the beginning of every month. I love the herbarium and the lo ger found sound. I especially love hearing what the animals and woodlands are up to during each month. There is nothing I would change. It's perfect just as it is!

I absolutely love the podcast. I really like the fact that you're not just reading out the Almanac, there's always something different. The Breath are wonderful and a perfect addition (last year's musician was extremely talented but a little too harsh a sound for me). The only thing I would like to suggest is special focus on the soltices, equinoxes and pagan festivals. But this may require extra episodes and I appreciate how much work must already go into the format you have now. xx

I always get your annual book which I use in conjunction with your Podcast. LOVE LOVE LOVE the podcast, I too listen to it often and write notes and scroll back to the bits I want to hear again. It is so informative and I also listen to the Found Sound mid month which is also a treat. You have me checking my local tide times so I can visit our Harbour and beach at Stonehaven, when the wind and tides are high are my favourite. Full moon times, seasonal festivals, simple things to make or do ourselves, things to bake or cook or try, candles to burn, little intentions to speak, items to spot or look out for when out wandering in the countryside or town, practical things for us to try each month would be great. It would be nice to think of others around the UK making, doing, setting intentions or just searching for the same thing each month. Maybe a small seasonal poem could be added. 1st of the month is a joy for me and if nothing changes I wouldn't care as I love all that you provide already. You and Ffern are so lucky to collaborate with each other, I gaze at some of the videos I see of Ffern and they look so evocative. As with the majority of folks at the moment, this would be a luxury for me if purchasing, but whoever wins this they will be sure to welcome the beautiful gift. As for your Podcast Lia and team, thank you so much. Please don't ever stop x

As the season turns evocative of the connections between nature sense of place & the cosmos adding in the sounds of everyday places that we haunt in nature … bringing together nature the cosmological & human nature .once a month an entangled read & listen plus adding in a community holding their love of paying attention 🌿🍃🌱 works for me in this monthly format linking to the almanac & The Wheel of the Yesr 🌀
