I have been to Priors wood in Bristol also! Maybe I’ll pop some photos from when I went last year in the group chat this Sunday. Planning to visit the Lickey Hills woods this bank holiday Monday to see the bluebells there. Birmingham seems to be a few days /week behind Bristol so think I should be safe to catch the peak 🤞

I was at the gorgeous Chaddesley Woods (in the Wildlife Trust link) on Saturday thinking peak bluebell time will probably be next week! They are just starting to emerge, brining a slight blue sheen over the woodland floor - but I know it's going to get even better! Take your wellies if you go!

We are behind in Lancashire, but I know that they are just about to bloom - usually around May Day but it’s rather chilly this week so wondering if it might be a bit later...Boilton Wood at Brockholes Nature Reserve is a lovely spot to see them.

Sssh! Bluebell paradises are there to find and I love to walk in their perfumed secret places each year in the rain too ! Blue radiance is there in a wood near you and in gardens when you peep over their fences 🍃

We've still got a bit of time before the bluebells are out in Southern Scotland. But a few days ago the swallows arrived - an event that brings the same level of joy as a bluebell-carpeted wood. Despite the epic length of their journey, the swallows were still doing mad loops in the blue sky - their exuberance matching my own, for their arrival truly means that the long slog of winter is over and Spring is finally here!

We've got them popping up around our garden here in Hucknall, Notts. Always a lovely sight.

I'm in East Sussex, a very wooded county and the bluebells are in full swing right now. Each local spot peaks at a different time depending on the micro climates so the peak can last well over a week. And this dreary damp weather is actually the best for seeing them...it heightens the colour and it keeps the scent low in the woods. Truly the most wonderful time of the year

We're officially on Bluebell watch here in Brighton, East Sussex! Our local haunt is the woods at High Park Farm, in Brighton's Stanmer area (carpets of blue!) but they are looking to be at least 2 weeks behind last year (I have photos from a week earlier than this last year, when they were in full, fragrant bloom, but right now they are only just waking up with not much blue in sight . . . so far!) We will also return, for the second year running, to Sussex's wonderful Arlington Bluebell walk, where they're reported to be about 10 days behind last year but coming along now! I'm lucky to have a Bluebell birthday (May 2nd) & sincerely hope we may be able to picnic among them that day, even if wrapped up in layers for warmth!

I'm in Warwickshire and have Spanish bluebells in the garden (they were here when I bought the house). I have blue, white and pink ones in a very small area of a pretty small garden.

We are still about 2 weeks behind you in the South West - but fear not ! I’m checking every few days ! We have a fantastic bluebell just about 6 miles away and it is mind blowing - and usually deserted !

Hi Caro

I am in Wooler so we usually go to Routin Linn woods which is near Lowick. It’s amazing. I’m not sure where is best near Kelso though- so sorry.

Westonbirt Arboretum has a good carpet of bluebells in the silk wood and is really to access. It’s even possible to see them from the paths so really good for those with mobility issues or prams.
