Bore da! Thank you so much for your work Lia, I share it with everyone I know. I’ve never celebrated old holidays and traditions before so I’m really excited to now have a calendar full of rituals that help take me through the seasons. Off to see what I can bring in from the garden to mark this special moment 🌿

Love this, thank you so much Lia. Sooo much to talk about this month, right?

I'm off to be a roving storyteller at a local Beltane celebration this evening at Butser. Can't wait! Blessed Beltane, holder of the almanac.

Good morning Lia - what a lovely way to start the day! We are up in Wigtown in Dumfries and Galloway for the weekend at a book festival - a very green part of the world! Thank you for this very interesting video - it’s my very favourite time of year!

Lovely! I really enjoy these videos and always learn something new 💫. I’ve been writing about Beltane this week too (and bringing in the May!) and I agree, it’s one of the best seasonal festivals 🌿🌸

Wonderful Lia, lifted my spirits. So cold and grey here in Perthshire but the trees are blooming and bird sounds are beautiful. Want to get to a Jack in the Green parade now! Presume it didn't reach Scotland? Thank you 🌿🌿🙏

What a lovely explanation of how special this time of year is! I live down in Cornwall and May is glorious with all of the hedgerows bursting with life. I will definitely pick some flowers from the garden to mark the occasion.

I have only recently joined this platform and am delighted to have found you after buying your Almanac every year for the past few years. Dorset is starting to pop after a slow start. The cherry tree blossom and May flower is beautiful and the hedgerows and verges are full of bluebells, celandine and stitchwort. Looking forward to some sunshine and the appearance of the roses. 💜

Thanks Lia. A lovely listen. I'm blessed to have my birthday on the 4th May - 52 this year, and so grateful to meet the bluebells and the asparagus spears after another spin around the sun. Shall look forward to the Fern podcast tomorrow.

I love that invitation to notice. I am often out and about walking with my toddler and this weekend I noticed how long the tulip stems are and the late daffs and the movements in the pond. ✨🌷🌷🌷✨ Happy Beltane everyone. ⭕️

“It’s really here” has been bouncing around in my mind the past few weeks. We made it!

Thank you for this video. It has been a very long arduous winter and early spring. I have always celebrated May Day by gifting my neighbors with plants or plant like tools for the months ahead. This year I am not able to do this due to an eye surgery but I will as you suggested bring some pussy willows in to adorn my table. I have been following you for at least ten years plus and appreciate your knowledge and your approach to life. Happy May Day!!

Well that’s me enthused to make a dash outside with my secateurs early in the morning, no signs of lilac blossom in my piece of Norfolk yet. I really resonated and engaged with Imbolc in February, which coincidentally is my birth month, so perhaps there’s a connection as suggested previously. I’ve always been very aware that my colour choices reflect my birth stone colour, I’m totally a purple girl, perhaps there’s a correlation there too? Happy May Day and Beltane all. X
