Every month of the year is a gift and has its own uniqueness. However for me, October and April are two months that seem to concentrate the seasonality more powerfully and beautifully than other months. The big, beautiful October poem is a mirror of that grandeur; and the audio is definitely a bonus, thanks Lia.
My favourite month in all its glory, just wonderful to read all these observations together. Such a wide range of moments people have captured. Looking forward to the November one!
What a delight to read whilst having my first cuppa this morning. Made me want to write more about the wonderful month of October so my plan is to record more observations in my journal.
Apart from this being a masterful weave of words on your part, it is so enriching and nourishing to listen to. Thank you Lia, please keep creating them! 🙏
Thank you for the lovely poem and for reminding me of risotto! I saw some geese flying in a v formation the other day and it felt truly seasonal and exciting, I called out to my husband to come and see - precious seasonal moments.
Today was a huffing, puffing busy day, but for those 15 minutes where I felt those cold cobwebs on my face again, replayed the northern lights dancing over the skies, the rustle of leaves on the walk to nursery and cosy candlelit moments. Thank you Lia for bringing the best of my month back to me!

A wonderful read. A kind of collective, contented sigh. Thank you.

I am staying on BST this year and your poem is perfect for my "stolen hour" so atmospheric.
Ooh I love the idea of staying on BST…just…refusing to play along. Go you!

I love that this poem is also in audio/a podcast so we can listen to it, perfect!
Oh good! Still feeling my way, I clicked on something that made it a podcast this time so I don’t know if that made it easier to listen to?
It felt so inspiring to read through the whole list!
Isn’t it! x
