That is such a lovely world gathering ode to Autumn,I can smell the leaves, the mist, the dampness of the woods, the chutneys and jams cooking, the apple pie and crumbles-YUM!๐ฅฎ๐๐๐
I live in Spain so it's not cold yet, cooling a bit and the light has changed from intense white to a mellow light gold, but the nights are drawing in and I can watch the sunrise from my bed (how lazy!)again!โญโจ๐๐๐งก
It is,we emerge from the heat and start to function again! We have two flowering seasons ,one in spring and one in autumn so the garden is a riot of colour again!
Thankyou so much for recording it Lia - you have such a beautiful voice. It reminds me there's the Ffern podcast to look forward to tomorrow! And what a month of contrasts. I hope everyone is ok amidst floods and hurricanes.
Wow, wow, wow, this is a mighty poem, so many delightful observations and descriptions of the passing month. And this month, the treat of listening to Lia reading it all. Thank you!
Itโs wonderful to read your compilation and to sense a feeling of togetherness in our experience of seasonal change even though we live in different parts of the world. Simply lovely.
I'm still on holiday in Crete, but reading that poem now whilst having a siesta and watching the grasses blowing outside my bedroom window, has brought me such joy and slight trepidation at the thought of what I will be returning to weather wise in the UK. Hopefully the rain hadn't caused too much damage and the crisp autumn mornings aren't too much of a shock to the system! Thank you so much once again Lia for such a beautiful offering. I will listen to your reading when I get home to bring me gently back to autumn ๐งก๐๐
Such a gathering of words that suit the season - still warmth in the sun whilst harvesting natureโs hips and haws , the garden is blown over but still full of colour through the berries & the last of the nodding Japanese anemones that tap on our windows in the wind ๐ฟ๐ฑ๐
Amazing! Thankyou so very much..to all who contributed!! I listened to this lovely work while getting ready this morning. Blessings from Snohomish Washington USA
Iโm obsessed with listening to this! Your soothing voice is my migraine brain go-to and listening to all these seasonal experiences is such a beautiful way to mark a step into a new month. Thank you so much for recording this! I will have it on a loop until the end of October! ๐
