Some thoughts on...the autumn equinox
The final instalment of my film series on festivals and seasonal markers
Hello! Believe it or not the autumn equinox is here. Here is my film - the latest in a series - on this important seasonal marker, how it can be celebrated and marked, and what it means to me. Please get cosy, get yourself a cup of tea and join me as we step into the dark half of the year….
I have made similar films about Samhain, Midwinter, Imbolc, May Day/Beltane, Midsummer, and Lammas. Do feel free to revisit any time you like. The sound quality on those early ones wasn’t as good as it is now but you just need to turn the volume up.
All of these thoughts and information have been gleaned over my years of making my annual almanacs, and the latest, The Almanac 2024, is out now! Please find lots of links to buy it here, or of course seek it out in your local bookshop. If you have already bought it please consider leaving me an Amazon review here even if you didnt buy it there. They go a long way and really help me out.
I hope you enjoy the film. I’m off to light some candles, put on my pjs and do some crochet in front of the telly…
Thank you Lia, I've been waiting for this video all week! I only discovered your videos halfway through the year and I love them, they are a lovely companion for the wheel of the year. Thank you so much! I also have your almanac for next year, it's beautiful ❤️ I'm the introvert who loves the autumn energy so you made me smile today 🍂🍁 xx
Lovely! I'm trying to set up a little autumn equinox altar on our dining room table, ready for tomorrow morning, Sept 23rd, as suggested by you, Lia! Thank you & Happy Autumn Equinox (from someone who dreads the lessening of the light & so is trying to mark it more, to better accommodate it!)
